Those of us who gave of our whole selves to try to both warn people and to salvage the project before it was too late have been let know that our input NOW is not solicited or wanted among the residents.  Too bad, because from the git go, the BEST of us, the most intelligent, the most ethical, the most supportive, were attacked, belittled and even threatened by Linda Hunnicutt until we left the group out of discouragement, frustration, anger/resentment, disappointment, grief for the loss of our dreams or fear (or all of the above).

Now, it has apparently been decided that we are STILL not valued enough to consult and include even though some of us have indicated that we would buy back in or whatever if the community reforms and begins at some point to look as if it is viable.  To say that this is shortsighted and unwise is a vast understatement and is probably indicative of the fact that the more things change, the more they stay the same with some individuals.

It is interesting to watch the power struggle as a few try to jump into the chasm created by the removal of the fearless leader.  Actually, there are SEVERAL good and probably qualified people who could head this up, so why not form a "central committee"?  Nobody has to have the power and the glory and the best intentional communities do NOT have an individual at their head.  At this point, they are all running around with their heads up their collective rear ends, making NO progress, blaming each other as well as Linda for all their woes and what a waste of energy they are demonstrating!

As you know, I called Dr. Jack Pruett a liar in my last blog.  This is simply because it is true. It always amazes me when people think they are going to get away with lying and causing harm.  No one ever gets away with evil... ultimately. It is amusing to hear Dr. Jack’s sophomoric attempt at distancing himself from the “project” and Linda’s operation of it like he had no knowledge or responsibility for anything except finance. This is a lie.  He, in his own words to me and in his own posting called himself “The Judge”.

Dear Slumber Party,

...All the clear warnings from Joey, Nick, Judith, Freedom County Sentinel and that sinking feeling in your stomach were not enough to wake you up.  I am curious what it felt like when you recent members of the REALITY CLUB figured out that we have been correct from the beginning.  We have told you who the liars are. What exactly was it that finally pushed you into the light? Is anyone sure Linda isn't a REAL witch casting spells on susceptible people?  I will be glad when she is finally gone.  At least it sounds like she cannot hurt anyone over this project any more.

Too bad Jack is still making decisions.  He is a liar just like Linda and not to be trusted.  More on that in a later blog.

The main problem with progress at the Farm was too many chiefs and not enough Indians so to speak.  Everybody wanted to be the boss.  When new people  came in, they wanted to complain about all the work that had already been done because they knew a better way, claiming it was all done wrong etc.  This happened in every aspect of the work out there.    So they proceeded to tear things out or do things over which slowed the progress.  It was either lack of money or that everyone wanted to discredit everyone else.  They did not know how to work as a team and was headstrong in that area.  Wouldn't give an inch and the founder did not help by going behind everyone's back.  She actually approved all the work before it was done and approved how it was done.  And she gave a list for those she sent to town to get things.  They got exactly what she told them to get--nothing more and nothing less. 

We will see how the new link goes, but I can bet you that a complaint will come up by someone who thinks they know more than anyone else.  We will see who does it?

Good Lord, when I looked up the term of sociopath, I could not believe how accurate "Dreamweaver" could be.  Thanks Dreamweaver for the great story!  This site is growing I believe. 

So the "founder" is still harping about that ten dollars on the deed?  The young man explained he never said that  in the meeting and she chooses to hang onto it so she can deflect the problem off her.  The young man was and is  not in the wrong.  She keeps saying something about a filing fee.  That statement is common in many kinds of transactions.  Some even say $1.00 and other consideration.  It is not a filing fee and most of us are brilliant enough to realize that. The statement really means nothing.  Some give the exact amount of the sale and some say this.  Ask any real estate agent and they will tell you.  She is creating a complete smokescreen for herself in my opinion.  Its called CYA.

For some of the "family' to compare this site with the Freedom Resident Site is inaccurate and wrong.  There is no comparison.  If you as a resident had stood behind the right, then this site would not have been needed at all.  Because she swayed you to her side for a while. 

This concept seems to have to be dreamed up by someone out to take people's money.   Sell them a piece of land in Texas over the internet misrepresentations, deposit in  her husband's name ( who is in North Carolina), don't furnish the lease to the people, (no paper trail) get the leasor to come work on something they were promised was already there.  Leasors  are stuck (in more ways than one)  because they have no other place to turn now.  Simply remind her of what you  were promised or ask questions and she and her cronies meet and vote you off without representation or having the right to face your accuser.  Once they promise they will give your money back and then they say they won't.  She did give some their money back it appears.

She and her friends (some new and some old) stick together like glue which makes you wonder if they are in on the scam?  Realizing some are now homeless and she has them by the rear, some  have to oblige her in her wishes for fear they will have no place to go either.  Some are even claiming they have been there from the start of the problem when they were not.  They just came in recent months.  The problem started when the facts were misrepresented over the internet.  When people got there, the problems magnified.  What the people were sold in the beginning, is  not what the people  ended up with.    That is the core of the problem.  When it started!  What was promised then and changed later! Or just simply did not exist.

Hello to all prospective and present residents at FIND.
   First, I want to say how much I admire the courage of the young man who recorded the March 6th meeting and shared it with us all.  I admire his willingness to confront and not back down, though he had to have been quite nervous about it all.  From all the rest of us,  THANK YOU!
      I am a former lease holder who was FORCED out and I would like to share my thoughts with you:   First of all, I am reacting to the recording of the meeting that I just listened to.  Linda was denying that she ever lied about ANYTHING and then continued to do so even as she spoke at that meeting!  I heard her say, for instance, that she never cashed anyone's check until after closing.  Hello!   My check was sent to her about two MONTHS before, after being reassured that it would not be cashed until we had the land for SURE, but then it was deposited the very next week.  I never received any kind of receipt or lease agreement, though I asked for them more than once.  THEN, she stated that she NEVER said she had put any personal money into the project, just the funds collected for the leases.  I have PROOF in the form of emails and Freedom Yahoo digests from the past that she said that and said it MANY times.     I have come to the conclusion that Linda would not know the truth if it bit her in the rear and she seems to lie even when the truth would do much better.

To have a non-profit organization as she claims to have on so many different sites and to take donations as a non-profit, then she  should have  provided a receipt for those donations. People  have heard her many times, threaten to burn the community center down if this project folded.   My donations that I could recover  quickly came out because she never mentioned a receipt.  I never got a receipt and I am sure those people who gave so freely from their hearts to help the project go did not get one either.  Because if  she even thought of  burning the community center down if this project did not make it, then anyone in their right mind would go get their stuff out and it appears they did.  Many people have heard her threaten that and even another resident who is still there threatened it  also.  

So the people who got their stuff were brilliant in retrieving what they could.  It seems she is so ungrateful for anything.  The people who gave the most in money, time and effort to help this succeed should be commended in their attempts to make the project go.  INSTEAD THEY GOT SLANDERED, LIED ON, THREATENED AND SLAMMED. This  showed she did not appreciate anything they did. 

No receipts, no leases given, but money, time and energy was gladly taken. 

I would like to thank you for this site where we can come here to post our thoughts without sensor or without deleting and ignoring what we have to say.  We have had enough retaliation for only asking questions at Freedom Ranch...I pray that this exposure will help keep others from investing in this apparent scam.

Misty Blue

I must apologize to those I have wronged with my war-like attitude. It is unfortunate that I forgot in my zeal to be humble. I forgot long-suffering and tend to enjoy fighting in general. I forgot that even a truth spoken with contention is a generator of strife and not understanding. I forgot that some people are too foolish and/or hard hearted to receive rebuke. I have been so myself and am sorry enough to change and remember who I am.

There is no point in speaking to those who have closed ears.  It matters not if their ears were closed from the beginning or by my words. The results are the same. The repetition of a valid point does not make the deaf hear it any clearer. I know this but had forgotten the lesson until recently.  The problem is one of self-interest. My self interest in being vindicated and a purveyor of justice. The detractors’ self-interest in maintaining status quo. The phrase “don’t rock the boat” certainly has wisdom. Truth spoken in malice without love is of little value.
